Gerard is a Trinidad-born writer and director who grew up in Miami, FL. He started filmmaking in 2014 producing short documentaries. In 2019 he directed the docuseries, Respect the Light. In 2025, he co-wrote and directed 500 Seconds to Tell You, an Official Selection of the 2026 Atlanta Film Festival and American Black Film Festival. Gerard has worked as a part of the production teams for clients like The Springhill Company, NFL Network, and Amazon Prime. His feature, Landfall, has been selected for Stowe Story Labs Feature Campus, and is a finalist at the 2026 New Orleans Film Festival South Pitch.
