Born in Port of Spain Trinidad and Tobago, Gerard is an Atlanta-based writer and director who grew up in Miami, FL. He started his filmmaking career with small documentary projects covering environmental issues with Al Gore's Climate Reality Project. In 2019 he pivoted to serialized documentary work, producing and directing a series called Respect the Light (an official selection of the 2019 Orlando Film Festival) about open mic comics in Miami. Eventually he worked his way into a producer role, having worked on projects with clients like The Springhill Company, NFL Network, and Amazon Prime. He’s the father of a one year old and a film photographer. His favorite film stock is Ilford Delta 3200.
