Logline: Before a global catastrophe ends life on Earth a young man struggles to tell his best friend how he feels about her.
It's a tragic gift to know when you'll lose someone. You can prepare to mourn their loss while finding ways to celebrate their life before they're gone. I wrote 500 Seconds to Tell You wondering if an entire community could make their peace with the end of the world. Instead of chaos, could they celebrate the life they'd had?
The other idea I was exploring was my fear that, as a new dad, I might've started pursuing narrative filmmaking as a career a bit too late. I've had so many stories I wanted to tell, but now I might only have an opportunity to tell one. I really wanted to capture the bittersweet experience of just barely getting the chance to have something you want/love before time runs out.
